Video Guide:
The creation of the configurable product layout is done in three steps (“General,” “Views,” and “Product Variants”), where you will need to provide specific details at each stage.
Before we go through these steps, the product layout must first be created. To do this, click on the “Create” button. Creating the product layout will initially set up the main product layout, which can later be expanded with product variants (see section 2.6.3 “COLOR, SIZE INSERT: PRODUCT VARIANTS”):
In the form below, you have the option to either select the product description from the main product or provide new details. The default setting is “Provide New Details”.
To proceed to the next step, please fill in the following fields:
Item Name (Required)
Enter the desired item name for the configurable main product:
Item Number (Required)
Enter the desired item number for the configurable main product:
Active/Inactive
You have the option to activate or deactivate the configurable main product:
Product Description
Enter the desired product description for the configurable main product:
Tax Rate
Set the tax rate. Tax rates can be configured in the shop settings:
Price (Gross)
Please enter the gross price:
Price (Net)
Please enter the net price:
Minimum Order Quantity
If the sale of the configurable main item should only be possible starting from a certain quantity, please specify the minimum order quantity:
Maximum Order Quantity
If the sale of the configurable main item should be restricted, please specify the maximum order quantity:
Discount Type
By default, the discount is specified as a percentage.
If the sale of the configurable item should be based on tier pricing, please fill in the “Quantity From” and “Quantity To” fields. Additional tier fields will then be displayed:
Quantity From
Set the minimum quantity for the specified tier range:
Quantity To
Set the maximum quantity for the specified tier range.
When you fill in this field, another row will appear where you can enter the next tier range:
Discount Value
Enter the discount value here:
If you want all these parameters and information to be inherited from the main product, check the box “Transfer info from main product” and then select the corresponding product from your main catalog:
Once all fields are filled out, click “Save” to proceed with the additional settings in the “General” section:
The following additional fields are available under “General”:
Services (Required Field)
Select the services that should be displayed in the dropdown menu on the configurator page (at least one service type must be selected):
Reference Products
By using reference products, you link the main product layout to the base product. The linked base product will have an additional “Configure Now” button on the overview and details page, allowing the end user to navigate to the configurator page. You can select multiple base products at once:
The general settings are now complete, and you can now configure the printable surfaces for the configurable main product layout.
